What does the Spirit at Work Programme look like?

If you're searching for quick, specific information about the programme, you can use the buttons below to jump to the relevant section of this page.

Spirit at Work offers coherent and robust models that have stood the test of time. We welcome active, engaged learners, able to engage with group processes and craft their own learning journey.

A crystal-clear mountain lake with vibrant turquoise and green hues reflects the rocky peaks and sparse forest surrounding its shore.

Our programme invites you to be open and curious - and to bring a healthy measure of challenge. These skills are essential to all mature and democratic learning processes.

We share models, ideas, research, approaches and techniques and expect you to test these through self-study and in the field to see how they align with your experience, and how you can integrate them with your personal leadership and coaching approach. This deepens your learning and builds mature practice.

"Triggered new and practical ways of thinking and coaching"

“A fabulous program that triggered new and practical ways of thinking and coaching. Learnt many tools that I will include in my coaching practise, especially with clients wanting some breakthrough thinking. The fact that the faculty comes with decades of knowledge and practise that was abundantly shared in this course, left me nurtured and confident.”

What you'll learn on the Spirit at Work programme

Module 1: From Actor to Author

An introduction to the principal transpersonal models. Discover your essential self beyond your many "selves." Learn powerful practices of identification and dis-identification that expand your choices and agency.

Navigate both crisis and choice points, that shape your life’s direction – what we call ‘Craxial Moments’© - with clarity and intention.

Connect with your deeper purpose and explore what ‘Everyday Spirituality’© means for your coaching and leadership practice.

Module 2: Ecosystemic Intelligence

Module 2: Ecosystemic Intelligence

Map the interdependence within relationships and organizational systems to develop an Ecosystems Mindset and build Contextual Intelligence.

From cleverness to wisdom. Work with immanent spirituality – the spirit and wisdom inherent in the world – and transcendent spirituality for those times we need to rise above it all and gain perspective.

Explore creative ways to resolve conflicts – using your client’s inner ‘orchestra’ of selves.

Understand the 2 big life crises – existential and duality – that often trigger the search for coaching; work pro-actively with ‘Craxial Moments’© to help your clients shape their onward professional journey and avoid being highjacked by the future.

Harness the transformative energies of Love and Will through imaginative tools that transcend rational limitations and deepen your coaching impact.

Module 3: Values in Action

Module 3: Values in Action

Discover how to help clients embody values and ethics in practical ways that contribute meaningfully to organizations, communities and global challenges.

For a world constantly on the move, we engage in the unlearning that needs doing to make space for the new, and introduce the 5 factors of Transition Expertise© – the competencies needed to make successful, often serial, work and life changes.

We dive deeper into ecosystemic thinking and complexity and the role of the Will in helping us find the right pathways forward.

Expand transpersonal thinking to working with groups and teams using the Cards for Life© designed by Tom Mansfield.

Programme Structure and Pathways

The structure of the programme is 3 x 16-hour modules plus study groups and buddy coaching in between.

Module 1 is taught online in 4 x 4-hour blocks over 4 days – in the afternoon-evening UK time. This enables participants from the USA and Australia to attend more easily.

As an introduction to the transpersonal, Module 1 stands alone. So do participate in just Module 1 – and decide afterwards if you wish to continue with further modules.

Modules 2 and 3 are each 2-day programmes taught in-person in London.

Please check and download the Pathway Options Table below to decide how you want to progress through the programme, and when you book let us know which pathway you’ve decided to take.
